My post yesterday got me thinking about books. Hardcover or softcover, actual paper, where you turn the pages, write in the margins, highlight text that speaks to you. You know…books!
With the advancement of technology there’s talk that books, as we know them, will become obsolete as they move into the electronic age. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m all for technology. I’ve even toyed with the idea of getting a Kindle myself, but I still want to hold a real book in my hand every once in a while. So, in honor of books (and their writers!) everywhere, I thought I’d share a few of my favorites that inspire me.
The Artist’s Way – Julia Cameron
Creative Visualization – Shakti Gawain
Soul Coaching – Denise Linn
The Power of Focus for Women – Fran & Les Hewitt
You Can Have What You Want – Michael Neill
Trail Guide to the Body – Books of Discovery
The Four Agreements – Don Miguel Ruiz
Bodymind – Ken Dychtwald
These books never remain on the bookshelf. They have a semi-permanent place on the floor by my bed, along with other massage-related books. Additionally, I just recently picked up The Success Principles, The Secret, Getting Things Done and Think and Grow Rich! Fortunately, my husband doesn’t have to pass through on my side:-)
What books are you reading? Why not share them in the comments section so that others can benefit.
