Take it One Thought at a Time

Did you ever notice that when you put your attention on one thing, it and all the related things come into focus?  This new year 2011 I decided I wanted to be more visible, to hone my skills and add my voice to the world -loud and proud.  Here it is mid-April, and I’ve spent the last two months standing in front of a class teaching and now I’m blogging, writing a workshop outline and ready to introduce my Facebook Fan Page to the public.  Ok.  I get it.  Focus on what you want and the universe will shine the light on possibilities for you.  Visibility is my key word this year, and it’s in play.

What have you been focusing on?  I heard Dr. Wayne Dyer say “You get what you think about, whether you want it or not.  Change your thoughts, change your life.”   Watch a clip here:

If you think about abundance, you will start to notice abundance in your life.  If your thoughts are of despair and lacking, then you will notice the despair and lack in your life.  Listen to your inner voice ( we all have one!) and hear what it’s saying  to you.  Is it supportive or critical?  Chances are it’s the latter.  We get so used to hearing it beat us down, subtlety sometimes, overtly at others, that we don’t even realize it.  This negative talk is coloring your view of life, just as if you put on a pair of rose-colored sunglasses.  You can still see, but everything is a different shade.

These have been challenging times for many of us these last few years.  It can be difficult to find the positive at first, if you’re not used to it.  But I encourage you to find the blessings in your life and keep your thoughts clear and positive.  Be in service to others, to be able to more clearly see your blessings.  And on those occasions when you start to feel overwhelmed and dragged down by life, take a breathe and remember all you have to be thankful for.  Take it one thought at a time.
