This is a question some of us are asked when we’re young. A doctor, a fireman, a teacher, an astronaut…the list goes on and on, fueled by the imagination of youth. You could do anything you could imagine! Sometime between the innocence of youth and the reality of adulthood, our imagination fades, dampened by the voices of naysayers and our own internal fears. Even well-meaning loved ones can squelch the dreams of your inner child. Maybe you’ve been lucky enough to achieve one of your dreams only to realize it’s not exactly what you imagined.
How can we bring that wide-eyed wonder and excitement back? Look inside your heart and ask yourself “What do I want to be when I grow up?”. For a few minutes let go of the restrictions, let go of the doubts, quiet that little nagging negative voice. Allow yourself to dream!
